Good Morning America:
ALSO, celebrities talking about Miley & Liam’s engagement at the Country Music Television Awards:
“Extra” special correspondent Alecia Davis headed to Nashville to talk with the stars at the 2012 CMT Awards, who offered congratulations to newly engaged couple Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.
The CMT Awards’ big winner was Carrie Underwood, in attendance with her husband of almost two years, Mike Fisher. The songbird gave Miley and Liam some sage advice. “If you can be engaged for a while, plan everything slow and take your first couple of years just to really hang out.”
Denise Richards expressed her congratulations, and said age doesn’t matter when you want to be with someone. “My parents got married at 17 and 21 and stayed married.”
AND, Julianne Hough and Last Song producer Adam Shankman couldn’t be happier for Miley Cyrus andLiam Hemsworth, who announced their engagement.
After three years of dating, the young couple took their relationship to the next level on May 31. The Hannah Montana star, 19, now rocks a 3.5-carat Neil Lane ring from the Aussie actor, 22, who starred in The Hunger Games.
“I am so happy for them,” Julianne said yesterday at the Rock of Ages special screening held at Landmark Sunshine Cinema in NYC. “They are going to make beautiful babies.”
She has known Miley since her early days as a country singer.
Of course, Rock of Ages director Adam Shankman holds a special place in the couples’ lives, too.
“I’m thrilled,” he told OK!. “I introduced them — I produced The Last Song. I couldn’t be happier. She’s like my angel, and so is he. I’m thrilled.”
