‘LOL’ Available on DVD/Blu-Ray/Digital NOW!

After a very limited release in the United States in May and United Kingdom in June, with limited releases in a couple of other countries around the world also – LOL is finally out on DVD and blu ray (July 31)! So far the DVD is only available for US fans, with the UK release on October 15th.

Film summary:

In a world connected by YouTube, iTunes, and Facebook, Lola and her friends navigate the peer pressures of high school romance and friendship while dodging their sometimes overbearing and confused parents. When Lola’s mom, Anne, “accidentally” reads her teenage daughter’s racy journal, she realizes just how wide their communication gap has grown. Through hilarious and heartfelt moments between mother and daughter, LOL is a fresh coming-of-age story for modern times.

At the beginning of the month, Demi Lovato’s “Give Your Heart a Break” was certified as gold by the RIAA, selling over 500,000 copies.

Today on the RIAA’s twitter & their Gold & Platinum Facebook page, they posted a plaque displaying Demi’s gold certification.

“Give Your Heart A Break” was #19 on the Billboard Hot 100 last week, and is currently sitting at #26 on iTunes.

ALSO, Demi is teaming up with actor Wilmer Valderrama to star in a PSA for Voto Latino as a secret agent on a mission to register people to vote.

Miley Cyrus caused quite the fashion stir on Monday, and this time it wasn’t about what she was wearing. The newly-engaged pop star surprised the staff at men’s trade show Project New York by showing up to view the collections just like any fashion buyer, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

Miley arrived with friend Natalie Levy, cofounder of fashion line Grey Ant, and Maxwell Osborne, cofounder of Public School. But why exactly was she sifting through the racks at a men’s trade show? Could it be that Miley wants back in the high fashion game after her collaborative line with Max Azria for Walmart?

Well, not exactly. It looks like the 19-year-old was just helping out her fiance. Sources told WWD that while Miley attended the official after party at the Soho Grand Hotel, she took the opportunity to network, telling industry insiders that Hemsworth has plans to start a men’s clothing line. So we suspect her fashion-savvy entourage at Project was there to help her navigate the business side of the industry.

If this is true, it’s not a bad idea for Miley to pick the brains of the fashion set — it takes a lot for a brand to make it. But if the sudden peak in sales of Katie Holmes’ clothing line just after her divorce scandal is any indication of industry climate, it seems like Miley is already well-equipped with enough of her own controversies to draw attention to any line she backs for her future husband.
