Demi Lovato to Host 2012 Teen Choice Awards!

“The X Factor” judge Demi Lovato has been set to host Fox’s Teen Choice Awards, airing live on Sunday, July 22.

“So You Think You Can Dance” and “The Choice” host Cat Deeley is also scheduled to appear on the telecast, joining previously announced Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Miley Cyrus, Zooey Deschanel, Ellen DeGeneres, Jason Derulo, Zac Efron, Selena Gomez, Lucy Hale, Josh Hutcherson, Victoria Justice, Laura and Vanessa Marano, Bridgit Mendler, Lea Michele, Shay Mitchell, Tyler Posey, Gordon Ramsay, Dax Shepard, Sophia Grace and Rosie, Jordin Sparks and Taylor Swift.

Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo Rida, No Doubt and DJ Pauly D will perform.

Lovato was officially named one of the judges for the second season of “The X Factor” alongside Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Britney Spears on May 14 during Fox’s upfront presentation to ad buyers in New York City. Lovato and Spears fill the vacated spots left by Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.

Lovato, whose first single “Skyscraper” off her latest album “Unbroken” recently went platinum, received the Acuvue Inspire Award at last year’s Teen Choice ceremony.

Voting for the Teen Choice Awards ends Saturday, July 21.

Demi Lovato On MTV’s 10 On Top

Demi recently sat down with MTV’s “10 on top”(she was #1 on this weekend’s countdown!) to answer some fan questions.

One of the Q’s was: “When will ‘Shut Up and Love Me be released?”. Demi wrote “Love Me” with John Mayer in 2009 while recording for that year’s Here We Go Again album release. The song was shelved, and didn’t appear on Lovato’s 3rd record either.

“We’re trying to find the right place on an album where it fits,” Lovato answered. “The last two albums it hasn’t really fit, so maybe the next one it’ll be released.” (Maybe?) good news for Lovatics who’ve been waiting years to hear the track!
