Miley Cyrus Confirmed to Cover Marie Claire’s September Issue

The September cover game is almost ready to be played on newsstands. Which fashion magazine will win out? Glamour is betting on Victoria Beckham, who last appeared on the magazine’s March 2010 issue for its third-best seller of the year. Elle is doubling down on Katy Perry, whose new movie “Katy Perry: Part of Me,” made $11 million in its opening weekend. She was on the March 2011 cover of Elle and it was the magazine’s second-best seller last year.

Penélope Cruz, the star of Woody Allen’s latest film, “To Rome with Love,” has been shot for W’s September cover, and sources said Vanity Fair is going with Jessica Chastain.

As WWD reported, Lady Gaga is expected to land on Vogue’s September cover, timed with the launch of her first fragrance and sources said Lucy Hale, from ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars,” has scored her first Cosmopolitan cover. It would be a big move for Hale, who has appeared on more teenage friendly magazines such as Seventeen and Teen Vogue in the past. For Cosmo, it’s another sign that the magazine is going younger with its cover subjects, following Selena Gomez and Dakota Fanning.

Harper’s Bazaar has shot Gwen Stefani, whose highly anticipated new album with her band No Doubt, “Push and Shove,” is its first in more than 10 years.

For Marie Claire, it’ll be Miley Cyrus, who was the magazine’s third-best seller last year in the March issue. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez is a relatively safe bet for InStyle. Her last cover for the magazine, in September 2009, was far and away its biggest seller that year.

ALSO, Bella Thorne and Zendaya Coleman, who play best friends CeCe and Rocky on Disney’s “Shake it Up” dropped by “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” on Wednesday and chatted about what they think of Miley getting married.

“To be honest, I wouldn’t judge, because it’s her choice,” Zendaya says. “If she really loves him, then why not? So what you’re a little bit younger. They’re really cute. They’ve been together for a while…they met when she was like 16. If she really has feelings for him that are that strong, then why not?” Bella added, “They look super cute together, they look adorable.”

Miley Cyrus’ ‘LOL’ Flick Can’t Be Tamed In Europe

Miley Cyrus’ recent film LOL may not have been a Party In The USA for the singer/actress, but it seems it was a hit elsewhere in the world!

The flick, starring Miley and Demi Moore, made only $46,500 in the States during its opening weekend in early May…and wasn’t even screened for critics!

However, it seems the coming-of-age movie faired far better over in Europe, in countries such as Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland, where it’s been reported as a MASSIVE success!

Very interesting indeed!

In Scandinavia, LOL grossed $1.6 million, which is a pretty big deal for such small countries, and theaters are STILL screening it!

Our source tells us that Miley has a “very large and loyal” fan base over in Scandinavia and that the film’s “European feel” probably also helped contribute to its success!
