Demi Lovato: 2011 ALMA Award Winner!

Demi Lovato shows off her golden statue as she poses backstage at the 2011 ALMA Awards held at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on Saturday evening (September 10) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 19-year-old musician, wearing Maria Lucia Hohan, took home the prize for Favorite TV Actress for her role as Sonny in Sonny With A Chance.

Demi recently caught up with MTV about her two coastal shows.

“It definitely is [a preview]. I wanted to say thank you to my fans,” Demi shared. “I wanted to show them how thankful I am for the support they gave me for ‘Skyscraper.’ At this point, ‘Skyscraper’ has done so well because of them, and I want to show them how thankful I am.”

Demi Lovato: Do Something Awards Performer!

Have you been missing Demi Lovato from the stage?

Well, don’t fear! The 18-year-old musician will be performing at the 2011 Do Something Awards next month!

Nominated for Do Something Charity Song and Do Something TV Star categories, this will also mark the first time Demi will perform her new hit song, “Skyscraper.”

“If you are expecting anything less than ‘wow,’ you’ve got the wrong award show. We are so psyched to have Demi’s first public performance, a hot break-out band like Foster the People, and expect OneRepublic with B.o.B to be very loud!” said Nancy Lublin, CEO and Chief Old Person of DoSomething.org.

Hosted by Glee star Jane Lynch, the 2011 Do Something Awards will honor and celebrate the nation’s best young world-changers who represent the pivotal “do-ers” in their field, cause or issue as well as celebs who inspire young people.

The awards will air Thursday, August 18 @ 9PM ET/PT on VH1.

Tiffany Thornton: So Random Will Go On

After the news broke that Demi Lovato would not be returning to Sonny With A Chance, fans all over reacted with indifferent feelings.

Some were upset while others were hopeful that So Random would live up to its name. Star Tiffany Thornton posted what she was feeling on Twitter for the fans:

“We are all sad that Demi is no longer on the show and will miss her tons. We are, however, fortunate to still be working! And are super excited for y’all to see the new format of So Random. We hope y’all like it!”

Tiffany added, “We love you @ddlovato and can’t wait to hear ur next album. Also, may I just say, @ddlovato I couldn’t be more proud of the woman you’ve become these past 6 months and I look forward to seeing the blessings God will pour out on your life and the many ways He will use you to help others. Love you @ddlovato.”

Demi tweeted, “Sonny was a chapter in my life I will be forever grateful for.. Thank you all for watching.. Can’t wait to see the new format for So Random!”
