Miley Cyrus On ‘Favourite Place’ London

30 12 2012

Miley Cyrus has been offering her outsiders opinion on London, revealing the UK capital is her favourite place to perform beacuse of it’s high gay population!

The singer says she loves performing in Europe because it is so “free” and she loves her gay fan base:

”My favourite place to perform is London, because I have never seen more gay people in my whole life,” the star says according to Bang Showbiz.

”When I go to London that’s what it is. I feel like they are so much more open, much more than here in the US when they’re feeling trapped, where it’s like, ‘Can I even say I believe in gay marriage? Can I say that my favourite fans are my gay fans? Am I allowed to say that, because half of America is still against it?'”

”It’s like, I just feel like when I go to Europe, I feel very free with my fan base.”

Hear, hear Miley! The star has been a long time supporter of gay rights, recently retweeting a post from her director in ‘The Last Song’, Adam Shankman who wrote: “I ws born in the usa, bt I don’t share the same freedoms & rights cuz I’m gay? Hmm. Not equal?Guess I don’t have 2 pay equal taxes then?Yay!”

Miley also admitted her life in the public eye can be difficult at times, telling Bang Showbiz:

”The hardest thing is that people don’t understand that they want to be the first to point the finger at you, but also, if you turn the camera around and you filmed their life and saw them driving and being angry in traffic, it’d be the same.”

”With me, it’s like, ‘She’s an unsafe driver!’ Well, who doesn’t get p***ed off in traffic? Everyone does. If you had a camera in your face, every normal thing that I do, you would be doing too and I think that’s like the main thing people forget – that they do stuff all the time that they wouldn’t want people to see either.”

Miley, who is engaged to ‘The Hunger Games’ star Liam Hemsworth, sparked marriage rumours this week after she posted a series of Christmas Twitpics showing her and Liam wearing what look like matching wedding bands…

ALSO, Miley Cyrus: Best of 2012

If there’s one star that will forever be linking up with 2012, it’s without a doubt Miley Cyrus. The 20-year-old may have started off the year pretty tame, but we definitely witnessed quite a few major MC milestones as time went on.
.
Early May marked the premiere of Miley’s film LOL that she starred in alongside Demi Moore but unfortunately, due to lack of promotion and a limited release, the film only grossed about 9.3 million dollars at the box office and then grabbed another 3 million bucks from U.S. DVD sales.
.
But Miley didn’t let that keep her down — just a month later the singer-actress confirmed her engagement to her Last Song co-star and boyfriend of 3 years, Liam Hemsworth. Apparently the Hunger Games star popped the question after watching Miley record a music video for his favorite song, “Lilac Wine.” Following the proposal, Cyrus shared her excitement with fans, tweeting out quote, “I’m so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam.”
.
But despite Miley’s optimism about the engagement, she still fell victim to media backlash. Just a month after the proposal, Miley was photographed hanging out poolside in Miami with her male BFF and assistant, Cheyne Thomas and according to reports, the hangout was anything but innocent. But not to worry, not only did Miley’s rep immediately discredit the ridiculous rumors, but even fellow hotel guests spoke out to clear the air, speaking up that they haven’t seen Miley once take off her engagement ring. And then Miley too spoke out in response to the cheating allegations, saying quote, “So now because I am engaged I can’t have a friend of the opposite sex? Can’t have a friend help me out while I’m working alllll day? #dumb…. maybe YOU would have friends too if you’d get your face out the tabloids & start living your own life 🙂 unfortunate.”
.
And don’t worry, MC fans, months later the couple is still going strong. In fact, in October, Liam even decided to get inked with a tattoo very reminiscent of the Teddy Roosevelt quote that we saw Miley get back in July. Apparently both stars share an appreciation for the former President’s speech .Miley’s left forearm features the line, “So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat” while Liam’s reads quote, “If he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly.”
.
And a new tattoo wasn’t the only change in appearance we saw from Miles this year. And it’s possibly the most shocking celeb transformation we’ve witnessed all year! Her spontaneous hair chop was definitely headline news. The starlet first teased fans with a picture threatening the cut along with the caption, “Good by bun.” And before we knew it, Miley was debuting a super edgy and uber short platinum blonde do.
.
Aside from the pics uploaded from Miley herself, the first time we saw Miley’s new look in action was when she arrived at the MTV Video Music Awards in September. Even being compared to fellow superstar Pink, whose performance she later presented — Miley’s new look definitely turned heads once she hit the red carpet.
.
But it wasn’t all just award shows and proposals for Miley this year — in October the starlet returned to the TV screen for a 2-episode story arc on the hit show Two and a Half Men. Helping the show achieve the highest ratings since its premiere, it’s safe to say the world has not had enough of MC’s acting chops just yet. Not to mention there are even rumors swirling that Miley’s character of Missy could potentially return for a recurring role on the show in an upcoming season!
.
And the 20-year-old is also preparing for her long-awaited return to the music scene too! Although she has lent her vocals to a few tracks in the past few months, including Israeli dubstep producer Borgore’s newest single, “Decisions” that she also appeared in the music video.
.
But in terms of her own music, the singer has made it very clear that she wants to make sure that everything is perfect before she releases any new music, saying quote, “I’ve got songs right now I feel like could potentially be singles, [but] it’s been two years that I haven’t said anything.”
.
We can’t wait to finally hear some new tunes from Miley — what are you guys most looking forward to seeing from the star in 2013? And what was your favorite Miley moment from 2012? Demi Lovato: Ain’t No Christmas Like an IHOP Christmas

27 12 2012

Demi Lovato took a page out of Britney Spears’ down-home playbook, and spent Christmas day stuffing her face in an unexpected, but awesome, place — the International House of Pancakes!

Demi hit up an IHOP in Texas with her family for dinner on Tuesday, and the ‘X Factor’ judge’s ruling was — AWESOME! She tweeted … “Literally the best Christmas I’ve ever had.”

The only person more excited than Demi about the meal — a rep for IHOP who tells TMZ, “We are thrilled that Ms. Lovato came to IHOP for her Christmas Dinner and we look forward to her visiting us throughout the year.”

No word on what Demi ordered, but we always recommend the “Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruity” … ’cause it’s fun to say.
