Fox Invites Fans to Meet & Mingle w/ Stars in New York City

30 04 2013

On April 29, 2013, Fox Broadcasting Company announced that it is having its first-ever Fox Fanfront event, which will be held in New York City on May 13, 2013. The event will allow fans to meet and mingle with several stars from Fox shows, including “The X Factor,” “American Idol,” “Glee,” “The Following,” “Bones,” “New Girl,” “Raising Hope” and “The Mindy Project.

May 13, 2013, is also the date that Fox is having its annual New York City upfront event for advertisers. The four celebrities who will be the judges on “The X Factor” U.S. in 2013 are expected to be officially introduced on stage at this event, which will be held at the Beacon Theatre.

After the event, there is a Fox party (held at another location, not the Beacon Theatre) that will be attended by Fox stars, executives, advertisers and other invited guests.

As of now, “The X Factor” executive producer Simon Cowell and award-winning singer Demi Lovato are the only confirmed judges for “The X Factor” U.S., but the replacements for Britney Spears and L.A. Reid should be announced by May 2013. “The X Factor” representatives are not commenting on rumors that former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland is replacing Spears, and singer/songwriter/producer Ne-Yo is replacing Reid.

“The X Factor” U.S. host Mario Lopez is also expected to attend the event with the show’s four judges. Khloe Kardashian, who co-hosted “The X Factor” U.S. with Lopez in 2012, has been fired, and Lopez is reportedly going to host the show by himself in 2013.

According to a Fox press release:

As Fox unveils its new shows, the Fox Fanfront will give fans a front-of-the-line pass to see Fox stars, get an exclusive sneak peek at the new shows, learn more about their favorite returning shows and take home some one-of-a-kind FOX swag.

Miley Cyrus Plans to Release New Single This Summer: “All I Do Is Focus on My Music”

Miley Cyrus is all about the music.

Despite the media interest in her relationship with Liam Hemsworth, the former Disney darling is choosing to put all her energy into her upcoming album—and a new single that a source exclusively tells E! News will drop this summer.

“All I do is focus on my music,” Miley insisted when she joined pal in a Google+ live chat yesterday. “The only place I ever am is at the studio.”

Although current tabloid reports suggest Miley and Liam have called off their engagement, a source tells E! News “the wedding is not off” and the former Hannah Montana star’s work with her new music may explain why the couple is spending more time apart.

“My friends, my relationships with like everyone around me has honestly changed since I’ve been working on my record, because it is the only thing that I have wanted to give 120 percent to,” Cyrus explained.

Regardless of the split reports, Miley has always said she will release her album before she begins planning her wedding, and she admits her priorities have shifted while she’s busy in the studio.

“I think it is like the only time in my life that I have pushed everything aside, everyone aside, anything you know that really mattered and it really became just about the music.”

So, when can expect more music from Miles?

As noted above, a source exclusively tells E! News the singer hopes to release her first single in the summer, possibly as soon as June, with her album to follow later in the year.

In summary? The wedding is on, Miley’s music is coming soon and the darling duo is still together.

Got it, tabloids? Now, let’s all move on to the singer’s new tunes!

Demi Lovato: Rehab Helped Me Reassess

Demi Lovato is pleased rehab made her overhaul her social circle.

The 20 year old star checked into a center in 2010 due to “physical and emotional issues”. She later admitted suffering from bulimia and self harming. She also turned to alcohol during her darkest times and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Looking back, Demi is amazed by how sucked in to celebrity life she had become.

“A couple of months before I went to rehab, I had a birthday party and there were a couple of hundred people there. It was full of people who I considered my closest friends,” she told Company magazine. “When I turned my phone on after being in rehab for three months, I expected lots of text messages and phone calls. I had four texts. That was a wake up call. I have severe trust issues but I try not to be jaded.”

Now the star has a select group of people she is close to and knows she can rely on. Although it was hard to realize she needed to make changes in her personal life, they have been for the better.

“I don’t have loads of friends. I used to, but then I realized, do any of them actually care? Now I have people who, if I break my leg in the middle of the night, they’ll come to the hospital with me,” she said. “Or they’ll answer the phone at 4 am if I need them.”

The former Disney star used to be close friends with Miley Cyrus and while they still talk, they don’t see each other much.

The star has also dismissed claims she dated One Direction’s Niall Horan, insisting they were just friends. She can’t understand why people are so keen to discuss her personal life, or that of other stars.

“I don’t care about Taylor Swift’s love life. I don’t care about Harry Style’s love life,” she said. “I care about mine. I find it weird that people are so obsessed with other people’s love lives!”

‘Heart Attack’ Has Gone Platinum!

27 04 2013

ALSO, Demi on big screen at Radio Disney Music Awards:

AND, Demi loves and lets go:

Can’t wait until May 14 to hear Demi Lovato’s next album, Demi? Well, Lovato may have heard your calls. She took to Twitter late Thursday to give fans a sneak peek at some of the lyrics she’ll be belting out. She kicked off the mini-spree by tweeting the lyric “Can you be my nightingale?” before launching into several more tweets, giving a glimpse at what she’ll be singing about on her fourth studio album.

Much like the album’s lead single “Heart Attack”, which put Lovato’s love on the line; she gets vulnerable for love again. On the unnamed tune, Demi proclaims, “So even if I lose it all, I’ve got so much left to give. I won’t give up. My heart’s on the frontline I’m NOT afraid…”

Letting Go
But, it seems there’s also a track where she’s willing to let go. One song will include the line, “Strong enough to leave you, weak enough to need you, cared enough to let you walk away…”

Another cut appears to deal with loss and companionship. The lyrics go, “There’s a boy, lost his way, looking for someone to play… There’s a girl in the window, tears rolling down her face…We’re only lost children trying to find a friend, trying to find a way back home.”

However, she wouldn’t confirm which lyrics match which song titles. She left that up to her Lovatics. Suspex producer Jason Evigan, previously told MTV News that the span of emotion Demi teased makes sense, considering just how much Lovato has grown over the last couple years.

“I think she’s matured into a woman. I think this album, even though she’s a young lady, her music this album is going to take her to like a Kelly Clarkson now. She’s gonna be like a Pink after this album. All the songs are credible. There’s no cheese,” he shared about the May release. “It’s all real classic songs. I think she has one of the best voices out there right now. This album’s gonna really show that and bring her to that next level where she’s not a Disney star.”

In addition to “Heart Attack,” Evigan also worked on several other tracks on the album including “Made in the USA,” “Never Been Hurt” and “Two Pieces.” Additionally, the album will include a perfect storm of “X Factor” judge goodness, with an appearance from one-time “X Factor” U.K. contestant Cher Lloyd. She’ll join the current “X Factor” U.S. judge on the track “Really Don’t Care.”

AND, Demi and Sebastian discuss working with Timbaland on “All Night Long” and “Abracadabra” (unnamed in the interview) back in 2011. Listen to a snippet of “Abracadabra” HERE.
